Savannah, 16
Recruitment on Hold
Welcoming Savannah (Bea)! Bea is 17-years-old and identifies with the pronouns of they/them. The cold winter and mounds of snow is definitely not Bea’s favorite season, however, they enjoy being able to stay inside to draw, complete crafts, and watch movies with their family! Bea is great at setting goals and finding ways to achieve them, so New Years resolutions are perfect for them! Creative, smart, and intuitive are great ways to describe Bea as they enjoy drawing, doing crafts, and solving problems. They have a big dream of becoming a business owner to design and make baby clothes at a cheaper rate for low-income families! Bea would like families to know that they have made significant progress in learning how to be self-aware of their emotions and feel they are able to communicate their needs effectively. Their definition of a perfect day includes the weather being 75 degrees, sunny, no wind, and starting the day with making a big breakfast, drawing in their notebook outside, taking an afternoon nap, going for a walk or swimming, and then settling down with a good book or movie. They are funny and enjoy telling jokes to make people laugh. Bea has never been camping and would love for a family to take them! Bea’s team is recruiting nationwide and is looking for a one or two-parent-household with a strong female caregiver. Bea would do well with younger or older siblings, but would need to be the highest needs youth in the home. Bea does great with animals and would enjoy having a dog or cat to take care of. It is important to Bea that their forever family is supportive and clear on expectations but will also give them space to make mistakes and learn from them on their own. If you have any questions regarding Bea, please contact McKenzie at [email protected]. Don’t forget to check out their Reel Hope video at www.AASKND.org.
