Adoption & Guardianship Mentor Program
The North Dakota Post Adopt Network provides ongoing support to adoptive and guardianship families as children grow and family needs evolve. Many families seek guidance after adoption is finalized or guardianship is established, especially during new developmental stages or life transitions. Our programs are designed to offer connection, understanding, and practical support when families need it most.
Mentor Program
The Adoption and Guardianship Mentor Program connects families with experienced adoptive or guardianship parents who understand the journey firsthand. Through a partnership with the Children and Family Services Training Center, this program offers families the opportunity to build supportive relationships rooted in shared experience.
Mentors provide encouragement, perspective, and understanding, helping families feel less alone as they navigate challenges and celebrate milestones. Support is available at any stage after finalization.
Become a Mentor
Mentor families play a vital role in strengthening the adoption and guardianship community across North Dakota. If you have a desire to support other families by sharing your experience, becoming a mentor is a meaningful way to give back.
Mentors are matched with families seeking support and commit to regular connection for a minimum of three months. Mentors receive a monthly stipend when matched and are supported by Post Adopt Coordinators throughout the process. Your experience can make a lasting difference in another family’s journey.
