Destiny, 12

Meet Destiny! She is a humorous, outgoing, spunky 12-year-old. She will be turning 13-years-old this Fall and loves to celebrate her birthday! She loves to get her hair and nails done, especially for big events like her birthday. Destiny enjoys arts, crafts, reading, and spending time with her friends outside of school. She is a compassionate, dedicated friend. Destiny likes riding electric scooters with her foster siblings and going to the pool in the summer. Destiny enjoys cooking meals, does well completing assigned chores, and routinely practices personal hygiene. She recently got her own room (which she loves!) and has been working hard to keep it clean. Some of her favorite foods include spaghetti, chicken, sushi, and Chinese food. Some restaurants she enjoys include Olive Garden, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dairy Queen, and McDonald’s. She shared she does not enjoy chicken noodle soup, onions, brussel sprouts, or SpaghettiOs. Destiny would love for her adoptive family to be a two-parent household with both a father and mother figure. She enjoys having animals in the home, specifically cats and dogs. Although there are no concerns with other children in the home, Destiny’s team believes she would benefit from being the oldest child in the family. It is important for an adoptive family to be willing and committed to helping Destiny develop an understanding of her heritage and engage in cultural practices that connect her to her heritage.
