  • Clinical Therapists: Recruiting Statewide

    Catholic Charities North Dakota, an accredited social service and licensed child welfare agency, is seeking full-time and part time Clinical Therapists. The selected individuals will provide therapy to individuals, couples, and families. Position requires two years of clinical experience, a master’s degree in social work with LICSW licensure in ND, or master’s degree in counseling with LPC, LPCC or LMFT licensure in ND. Must be eligible for insurance reimbursement. Please submit cover letter and resume.

  • AASK Adoption Specialist: Remote Position in Dickinson

    Some Travel Required/Visits outside of typical business hours

    Join our amazing team! Catholic Charities North Dakota is seeking a full time Adoption Worker in the AASK (Adults Adopting Special Kids) program. This a remote position in the Dickinson area. Responsibilities of the AASK Adoption Specialist include:


    • Working with several child welfare entities (Human Service Zones, Tribes, Children and Family Services, Other States, etc.) to collaborate and facilitate adoptions for children in foster care
    • Completing child assessments and engaging children in adoption preparation activities
    • Conducting thorough home assessments on families adopting from foster care
    • Completing necessary paperwork processes in a timely and efficient manner
    • Must have strong communication, engagement, and organizational skills
    • Licensure/Education: Must have four-year degree with a ND Social Work License (LBSW) and experience working with children and families

  • PPAS Social Worker: Bismarck Office

    Catholic Charities North Dakota's PPAS (Pregnancy, Parenting, and Adoption Services) has been facilitating infant adoption and placing children into permanent homes since 1923. We are dedicated to serving both adoptive parents and birthparents. The Pregnancy, Parenting, and Adoption Services program specializes in five types of adoption and CCND is looking for an experienced Social Worker with a passion to be a part of this process. We are currently hiring for a Full Time worker located anywhere in the State of North Dakota. This will be a remote position with travel throughout the state.


    Job Function:

    Provide casework to clients of pregnancy service. Provide ND infant adoption, inter-country adoption, out-of-state adoption and identified adoption services to children, birth parents, pre-adoptive and adoptive parents. Provide search and disclosure services to birth parents, adopted adults and siblings.


    Mandatory Qualifications/Certification:

    • MSW or BSW and licensure in North Dakota. MSW preferred.
    • Two years of social service experience.
    • Values compatible with those of the Agency.
    • Reliable transportation and ability to travel.

  • GSV Support Staff: Fargo Office

    GSV Support Staff performs clerical and administrative work of a confidential nature under the direction of the GSV Director in accordance with established policies and procedures. Will assist program staff within the GSV Program to provide financial support for the services related to the individuals served.  Will work in accordance with and uphold the goals and mission of Catholic Charities North Dakota.


    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Maintain electronic case files by scanning and archiving documents.
    • Manage incoming and outgoing mail; monitor and purchase office supplies as needed.
    • Prepare letters, records, memos, reports, and other documents using computer software.
    • Enter individual data and ongoing case notes into the Agency’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) system based on work completed.
    • Direct phone calls to appropriate staff members.
    • File documents in the EHR and permanent financial files; retrieve digital or physical records as needed.
    • Electronically file monthly and yearly court reports and other required legal documents.
    • Review and archive closed case records for the GSV Program.
    • Distribute annual provider and client surveys each March under the direction of the GSV Director.
    • Support the maintenance of the GSV Contacts list.
    • Perform administrative, secretarial, and clerical tasks related to agency operations.
    • Operate office equipment including computers, scanners, copiers, fax machines, and dictation devices.  
    • Complete financial work as assigned by GSV workers using a planned budget. 
    • Complete daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and/or annual financial work as it relates to the GSV program. 
    • Set up and manage permanent financial case files.
    • Perform data entry and export tasks using the QuickBooks financial application.
    • Handle monthly client bill pay budget and financial transactions including writing checks, making deposits, and setting up ACH payments.
    • Reconcile monthly bank statements for GSV representative payee accounts.
    • Manage True Link debit cards and maintain a secure spreadsheet of individual bank debit cardholder information.
    • Assist GSV staff with financial reporting, including Annual reports, Guardianship reports and Social Security representative payee documentation.
    • Actively participate in the Agency’s Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) process.
    • Respond appropriately to cultural differences within the Agency’s service population and staff.
    • Build positive relationships and collaborate with clients, families, and community partners.
    • Demonstrate values aligned with those of Catholic Charities North Dakota.
    • Perform other duties assigned by the GSV Directo or Lead GSV Support Worker.

    Mandatory Qualifications/Certification:

    • Applicants will have a minimum of a 2-year degree in a business-related field plus experience working with financial information.  
    • Able to type 60 wpm and ability to operate office equipment. 
    • Capable of handling multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
    • Organized, efficient, detailed-oriented.
    • The ability to prioritize work under pressure and to perform services for various staff.
    • Ability to observe the confidential requirements of the Agency and to maintain the philosophy of the Agency.
    • Willingness to learn new skills and new directions of the Agency.

  • Development Officer: Fargo Office or Statewide for the Right Candidate

    Catholic Charities North Dakota is searching for an experienced and motivated Development Officer to join our team! This position is typically located in our Fargo, ND office but we're willing to look statewide and/or remotely for the right candidate.


    Job Function: This role is responsible for cultivating relationships with donors, implementing fundraising initiatives, and supporting the organization’s annual giving and major gift efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for relationship building, and experience in nonprofit development or fundraising.


    Job Responsibilities:

    1. Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors through phone calls, in-person visits, emails, and other communication channels.

    2. Plan, coordinate, and support fundraising initiatives, including annual appeals and special campaigns.

    3. Develop and prepare proposals and projects related to major gifts and annual fund materials.

    4. Ensure timely and accurate acknowledgment of gifts, maintaining a robust stewardship process.

    5. Collaborate with team members to create compelling fundraising materials and strategies.

    6. Track and report on donor engagement and fundraising progress.

    7. Maintain a donor database and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.

    8. Travel up to 50% as needed to meet with donors, attend events, and support fundraising activities.

    9. Support the organization’s development goals through strategic planning and execution.

    10. Provide supervision to the Development Associate (data entry role in development).

    11. Work with the Development Associate track and record funds received.

    12. Seek out and coordinate the preparation of grant applications.

    13. Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications/Certification:

    •  Experience in fundraising and related development activities, including donor prospect identification and cultivation, research, marketing and public relations.
    • Knowledge of key areas of effective fundraising and resource development planned giving, wills, bequests, including major gifts, foundation and/or corporate fundraising.
    • Excellent writing skills, effective verbal and interpersonal communications skills.
    • Excellent public relations skills with the ability to communicate clearly, tactfully and effectively both verbally and in writing with diverse individuals and groups.
    • Knowledge of social and community services, and a commitment to support and implement the philosophy, values and policies of Catholic Charities North Dakota.
    • B.A. Degree in Communication, or Business Administration/Finance from an accredited university or college preferred.
    • Computer experience is essential. Knowledge of Word, Excel and other Microsoft programs necessary. Command of internet for research purposes.
    • Up to 50% travel throughout North Dakota; and to work on some evenings and weekends.

  • Guardianship Division - Intellectual Disabilities (GDID) Worker: Bismarck Office

    Catholic Charities North Dakota, a nonprofit organization serving the entire state of North Dakota, is seeking applicants for a full-time position as a Guardianship Worker for people with intellectual disabilities out of our Bismarck, ND location. Will require travel in a 150 mile radius of Bismarck.


    Individuals applying should possess the following qualifications:

    • Excellent oral/written communications skills and especially articulate on issues related to intellectual disabilities, advocacy and guardianship. 
    • LBSW or QDDP required with minimum of 2 years experience as an interdisciplinary team member.

  • Clinical Therapist: Fargo Office or Statewide

    Catholic Charities North Dakota is looking for a Clinical Therapist to join our growing team! This position is located in our Fargo ND office but could be located statewide to assist in reaching the rural areas of the state.


    Job Function:

    Provide counseling to individuals, couples, families and groups while representing Catholic Charities North Dakota's mission and values.


    Job Responsibility:

    1. Provide direct therapy services to individuals, couples, families, and groups of all ages.

    2. Maintain accurate and complete case records as required by agency policy. Protect client confidentiality following HIPPA guidelines, following protocols to obtain signed releases of information, obtain information and collaborate with other providers and treatment team.

    3. Promote counseling program to outside agencies and professionals, priests and the general public.

    4. Participate in the peer review process for other therapists on the team.

    5. Respond appropriately to the cultural differences present within the Agency's service population and staff.

    6. Relate well and partner with clients and families, community agencies, organizations, associations and other dioceses.

    7. Demonstrate values compatible with those of the Agency.

    8. Demonstrate knowledge of the needs of abused and neglected children and adults and skill in meeting their needs.

    9. Demonstrate knowledge and skill in child development, individual and family functioning.

    10. Able to work with and engage individuals and families seeking clients’ motivation to change.

    11. Maintain professional licensure by following requirements needed by the professional licensure board of specialty and complying with COA standards as as accepted by Catholic Charities North Dakota.

    12. Participate in team meetings and supervisory case consultations as requested.

    13. Submit weekly billing summaries, time sheets, and expense reports to supervisor in a timely manner.

    14. Perform other tasks as designated by the Counseling Director.

    15. Provide presentations on a variety of topics (by request).


    Mandatory Qualifications/Certification:

    • Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling
    • Licensed by State of North Dakota
    • Must be licensed to practice under supervision and be third party reimbursable (current staff grandfathered to this requirement).
    • Strong written and oral communication skills, listening skills, and a demonstrated ability to foster supportive environment for clients.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and clear professional boundaries.
    • Ability to work as a part of a team
    • 1-2 years counseling experience is preferred

    Position requires some evening and weekend work as well as occasional travel and overnight stays.
