A few weeks ago our Bismarck office participated in the Zoo Boo event at the Dakota Zoo. This is a family event that provides a safe, supervised, and enjoyable environment for kids to trick-or-treat from area businesses and see all the zoo critters! Sara Pachl, guardianship support staff, dressed up as a bumble bee and Josh Schlichenmayer, a guardianship worker, dressed up as a “hillbilly” to pass out candy to the excited kids! Also in attendance was our guardianship worker Whitney Rath- Wald who didn’t make it into any of the pictures but made sure that the kids all received candy and CCND stickers. It was a warm, Saturday afternoon at the Zoo and around 3,000 parents and children came through. It is a great event that the Bismarck office has participated in for the last couple of years. Besides being able to pass out candy to all the eager children, they are able to set up a booth with information on the services offered across the state at our Catholic Charities North Dakota offices.
