CATHOLIC CHARITIES NORTH DAKOTA HAS BEEN AWARDED THE CONTRACT FOR THE ADULTS ADOPTING SPECIAL KIDS (AASK) PROGRAM AND THE NORTH DAKOTA POST ADOPT NETWORK.
The Adults Adopting Special Kids (AASK) program has many reasons to celebrate this fiscal year.
The North Dakota Department of Human Services’ Children and Family Services Division has awarded Catholic Charities North Dakota the contract to continue providing adoption services for children in the child welfare system through AASK.
“Children and families are the heart of our program and providing the best adoption services possible still remains our focus,” said Dianne Nechiporenko, executive director of Catholic Charities North Dakota. “As a part of this new contract, we are excited for the start of our partnership with the Adoption Option for contracted services, a collaborative program between Lutheran Social Services of North Dakota and The Village Family Service Center of North Dakota.”
In addition to this new partnership, she said, Catholic Charities North Dakota now provides leadership to post-adoption services in the state through the North Dakota Post Adopt Network as a part of the AASK program. The Post Adopt Network provides supports to international, domestic, infant, and foster care adoptive families as well as families providing guardianship for a child in their home.
“The children and families we serve are a blessing to work with every day and remain the number one priority of AASK services. As we look ahead to a busy year, we celebrate the great successes and look forward to the continued growth and development,” Nechiporenko said.
